Entire Genome Of Extinct Human Decoded From Fossil
The Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology completed the genome sequence of a Denisovan, a representative of an Asian group of extinct humans related to Neandertals. The genome represents the first high-coverage, complete genome sequence of an archaic human group -- a leap in the study of extinct forms of humans.
