CreatureCast: Getting Around When You Are Round

Provided by Brown University
Henry Astley explains how brittlestars move. In the first year of his thesis research at Brown, Henry closely observed brittlestars over the course of a week at South Water Caye in Belize. The paper describing his findings, titled "Getting around when you’re round: quantitative analysis of the locomotion of the blunt-spined brittle star, Ophiocoma echinata", was published in the Journal of Experimental Biology.
